2024 Endorsements

All candidates were contacted and invited to take part in the endorsement process. Those who requested endorsement completed a survey, and the Endorsement Committee of the Voting Working Group reviewed candidates' responses to that survey, as well as their responses to the public-facing candidate questionnaire, statements at the Muncie Resists Primary Series forums, and other public statements or past decisions as lawmakers. That committee made its recommendations to the Muncie Resists membership, who voted on the recommendations.

Valerie McCray (D) for US Senate

Jennifer McCormick (D) for Governor of Indiana

Jennifer McCormick is an educator from New Castle, Indiana. She served as the 44th Indiana Superintendent of Public Instruction.

Sue Errington (D) for Indiana House District 34

Phil is a registered nurse who spent the last 17 years of his nursing career working with the Department of Veterans Affairs

Kim Dowling (D) for Judge of the 46th Circuit Court, No. 2

Since being elected to the bench in 2012, Judge Dowling has served on the Indiana Judicial Education Committee. She is the vice president of the Indiana Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges, a board member of the Indiana Judges Association, a member of the Indiana Judicial Center Jury Committee, and a graduate of the Indiana Graduate Program for Judges.

Doug Mawhorr (R) for Judge of the 46th Circuit Court, No. 3

Judge Mawhorr has been an attorney for 25 years. He has experience in a large firm setting, small firm setting, private practice, non-profit practice, public defender work, and prosecutor work. He has served as the judge of the 46th Circuit Court, No. 3, since September, when he was appointed by the governor to succeed longtime Judge Linda Ralu Wolf, who retired.
